    Pets are not allowed in the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park but are in many of the National Monuments. Check before you visit, keep Fido on a leash and pick up after your pet. The gated dog park in Cortez offers lots of room to play and stretch. A dog water fountain is running during most months.
